This post from one of my favourite bloggers got me thinking about adoption policies and approaches to adoption.

The research was looking at why people choose not to adopt from a shelter. I know it's a bit different than a rescue group, but I've heard the same sorts of comments from adopters.
Is it better to set a higher hurdle for adopters and potentially rehome fewer animals, or make it easier and potentially get the placement wrong. How do you, as a group, decide the balance.
