This forum is lightly moderated, which means that while robust discussion is encouraged, bullying, belittlement, racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination will not be tolerated. We assume that you are responsible adults and able to conduct yourself accordingly.

You are encouraged to engage in deep discussion but "play the ball and not the man or woman". For example, you can say, "I think that is wrong", you can't say, "you are an idiot for saying that".

People will disagree with you, get over it. This is not the school yard and it's not Facebook. If you're old enough to rescue animals responsibly, you're old enough to defend your opinion without whining.

Please try and stay on topic, as a dedicated rescue forum your fellow community members are time poor.

If the moderators think a discussion is going off the rails you'll be given a warning to try and nudge things back on track.
If you have an issue with a particular rescue group's practice and wish to bring that discussion to the board you are asked to do two things. The first is to contact the relevant group directly and ask for clarification. If you still feel the need to raise the issue on the board after that please let that group know you are going to do, that they have the opportunity to defend themselves if they wish.

We can add to these if necessary and they are open for discussion.
